WHAT MAKES THE SOLLY WRAP SO SPECIAL?

Created by a mama of four, the Solly Wrap is designed to be both beautiful and practical. Our fabrics are of the highest quality, are custom-made and -dyed in the USA, and have just the right amount of natural stretch. Our wraps are lightweight, breathable, and slimmer than traditional wraps, making them ideal for year-round use in any climate.

Our Wraps, Sleepers, Swaddles, Crib Sheets, Knotted Hats, and Solly Dollies are made of 100% certified TENCEL™ Modal, Lenzing's flagship brand for textiles. TENCEL™ Modal is a buttery-soft sustainable knit made from the pulp of Austrian beechwood trees. Lenzing uses wood that is free from pesticides to produce their fibers and has garnered a wide range of climate pledge friendly certifications. Our fabrics are woven and printed in Los Angeles. The finished product is lightweight and breathable, yet durable enough to be machine-washed and tumbled dry. All of our dyes are nontoxic, AZO-, phthalate- and metal-free. We do not use flame retardants.

The Solly Wrap supports healthy hip and spine development throughout baby’s first year and beyond. It's certified hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, which means it supports baby in an ergonomic position, with baby’s hips bent so their knees are slightly higher than their bum with their thighs supported. (You'll often hear this referred to as the "M position.")

Yes! The wrap offers a truly universal fit for wearers of all sizes, including plus-size and petite.

Yes! When you're not using your wrap you can store it in the built-in pocket. Feel free to stuff and go—the fabric will unwrinkle each time you put it on. It’s compact and light-weight enough that it can be conveniently stashed in a diaper bag without taking up valuable real estate.

Wash Solly Baby items on a cold, gentle cycle and then tumble dry low. Do not bleach. This will all help maintain the durability and strength of the fabric. Avoid washing with other clothing or items with snaps, buttons, Velcro, or zippers, which can snag the fabric or create holes. If your washing machine has an agitator, consider using a delicates bag for smaller items. Pretreat any spots with a product containing enzymes prior to drying to avoid setting the stain. Avoid clipping anything, including pacifier clips, to the fabric to avoid unintended holes.  For long-term storage, place Solly Baby items in an airtight container.

It’s one of the best and easiest ways to promote bonding with your baby. It supports baby and mother's biological need to be together.

It can help reduce postpartum depression and boost milk supply for nursing mamas.

It frees your hands to fold laundry, respond to emails, care for big siblings and more, all while keeping your baby close.

It helps to calm even the fussiest babies, especially those with reflux or gas. A pediatric study found that wearing your infant 3 hours a day can reduce infant crying by up to 43%!

It provides a womb-like environment for baby that makes them feel secure, safe, and comfortable.

The Solly Baby Wrap distributes baby's weight evenly across your upper body without creating pressure points on your shoulders or back. It also naturally supports your little one in a healthy, ergonomic "M" position.

It feels like your baby is giving you a big, sweet hug every time you wear them.

I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT USING MY WRAP.

The Solly Wrap is safety-tested for babies 8 to 25 pounds. We recommend going from womb to wrap, when possible, to ease baby's transition to the world. If you or baby have any special circumstances, we recommend connecting with your medical professional prior to wearing.

Yes, absolutely. Once you and baby have an established breastfeeding relationship and are comfortable wrapping together, a few simple adjustments can make nursing in the wrap both easy and convenient. Watch a tutorial here and feel free to email advice@sollybaby.com for additional.

No. It puts too much pressure on baby's spine and joints and increases the risk of baby falling out of the wrap. It also puts extra pressure on the wearer's back. Although our wraps have no added stretch, they are still considered stretchy wraps. Therefore, we advise against back carrying.

No. The Solly Wrap is designed for just one baby at a time. However, it is an ideal way to keep one baby close (and properly supported) while freeing up your hands to tend to the other baby. As babies get older and are sitting unassisted (typically around 6 months), it's possible to wear one baby on your front in the Solly and the second baby on your back in another carrier such as a soft-structured carrier or woven wrap. Feel free to email advice@sollybaby.com for helpful strategies for parents of multiples.

Baby should stay high and tight in your Solly. If baby seems to be slipping, there may be slack in your wrap when tying it on. Try tying it on tighter and keeping the wrap equally snug as you do so. No part of the wrap should be loose or floppy. If you pull the shoulder straps away from your chest, there should be just enough room for baby to fit in.

If you're still not sure if you're doing it right, email a photo to our babywearing educator at advice@sollybaby.com for a complimentary fit check and personalized tips. We’re always here to help.
