The Spring Edit: What to Wear, Cook, Listen to, and Do

The birds are chirping! The buds are blooming! The sun is shining after 4pm! Take a deep exhale friends because the light at the end of the long gloomy winter is here: spring has ARRIVED. And we’re welcoming it with open arms (likely with a baby in one of them) and a few of our seasonal favorites.

Read on for a mom-friendly round up of what to wear, cook, listen to, and do this spring.

What to: Wear

Grid of 3x2 photos of spring fashion items. Including a gingham tote, denim pants, and navy anorak.
  • These Pants: They wear like sweatpants, look like jeans, and work from pregnancy to postpartum. In other words, you’ll be reaching for these on repeat all season long.

  • This Blouse: Florals for spring? Duh. And you can even match your mini with Sezane’s new baby collection. C’est parfait.

  • A Rain Jacket: For all those April showers that bring May flowers. You can’t go wrong with classic black, but the yellow and pink options feel extra cheerful on gray days.

  • These Sneakers: The perfect mom on-the-go shoes.

  • This Carrier: Nothing says spring like the perfect shade of green and a playful checkered pattern. Ideal for sunshine strolls, farmers market runs, and naps on-the-go.

  • Gingham Tote: Beautifully oversized so you can carry all of your things… and baby’s things… and probably your toddler’s treasures too.

    What to: Cook

3x2 grid of photos of different recipes, including muffins, chicken and dumplings, and noodles.

What to: Listen To

A bright and cheery playlist for all of your spring endeavors—flower planting (and the weed-pulling that comes before it), baking in the kitchen, and plenty of sunshiney wrap ‘n’ walks in between rain showers.

What to: Do

  • Go for a walk: All the cool moms seem to be wearing weighted vests nowadays, and yours could be the cutest of them all—just put them in the carrier and start strolling.

  • Take family photos: No need to put pressure on yourself for this one! Just grab your phone or camera, wear an outfit you love, and capture your family in this season of life.

  • Host friends: Invite another family over for a casual backyard hang together. Put together a simple spread (or order some pizza) and let the littles run around while you enjoy the lighter evenings.

  • Visit the farmers market: Load the littles in your carrier or stroller, grab a coffee, and wander the stalls for fresh produce, flowers, and local treats. It’s one of the easiest ways to make an ordinary weekend morning feel like an outing.

  • Plant something together: Whether it’s a small herb pot on the windowsill or a full backyard garden, there’s something magical about watching things grow alongside your little ones.

  • Have a picnic: Pack up a simple lunch, grab a blanket, and enjoy a meal al fresco in your backyard or a nearby park.
