You can learn a lot about someone based on the contents of their bag.
Five kinds of lip gloss, two types of blush, and an extra stick of concealer? Beauty maximalist. Tissues, band-aids, and an extra pair of socks? She’s prepared for anything. A small bottle of her favorite hot sauce? A spicy queen.
There’s something endlessly fascinating about what someone else considers *necessary* for lugging around from place to place. And so, we’re putting a Solly spin on the “What’s in my bag?” trend to marry two things we love most: Your on-the-go essentials + motherhood. Enter: Our “What’s in my diaper bag?” series. Let’s dive in.
To start: A few basics that we might not be able to figure out based on your diaper bag contents.

Now, onto the good stuff. Most-frequented places you take your diaper bag?
I take my Solly Totepack to our neighborhood coffee shop or my in-law's house.

Tell us what’s in your diaper bag—the good, the can’t-live-without, and maybe even a random item or two.
1. A change of baby clothes. Currently, I have the Solly Baby Sleeper in Currant in there. I have definitely been caught without a change of clothes post-blowout, so trying to avoid that at all costs. I love the softness of the material of this set and how easily the set folds up in my bag, and no snaps to deal with—win!
2. Diapers + Wipes. Another essential for those post-blowout moments. We're liking Honest Company right now.
3. Paci. Both me and baby Merit like BIBS. The GLOW makes it so easy to find in the middle of the night and they're so cute!
4. Hair clip. These do double duty for me! Of course, helpful to pull my hair out of my face, and also great to clip my shirt up when breastfeeding.
5. Burp cloths. Merit is a spit up baby! Can't leave home without at least two of these. The cotton muslin is soft, absorbent and easy to fold. We also have some really cute monogrammed ones made out of cloth diapers!
6. Black and White cards. We were generously gifted the Looker Play Kit from Lovevery and Merit loves staring at the black and white cards. We joke that she's "reading her book.”
7. Water bottle. This one should have been No. 1! I have never known thirst like the thirst I feel postbaby! I like the slim, spill-free design of Owalla.
8. Baby Bottle. We use Dr. Brown's. Our lactation consultant recommended them to us, and the wide bottle is great for either mixing formula or breast milk.
9. Disposable Camera. This one's just for fun! My husband and I love to bring disposable cameras on trips, so we have one in the diaper bag to capture special moments with Merit, too!
