Welcoming the fall season with @kailee_wright

"A typical day for our family of six seems to change with the seasons...right now the older two kids are in school and soccer, while our spunky 4 year old, Hayden, has started preschool and dance. So some days are a little crazier than others, but I wouldn't change it for the world. On a day when the three older kids are at school I really try to cherish those few hours I get alone with baby Houston, as I know how fast time passes us by. I have tried to take in those sweet moments when I'm feeding or bathing him. I don't ever want to forget his smell, how little his feet and hands are, or the way he smiles after he has eaten."
I feel now more then ever that I’ve got to tell myself to slow down and digest these little moments. I absolutely love that I can wear Houston near me as I pick up the house, do a little laundry or even try to catch up on emails and work. Once all the little people are home from school we spend a lot of our time in our master bedroom right on our bed! The kids love that we can all fit in one place and snuggle together as they read books and finish up homework. On days that Hayden is home we spend the majority of our time in the playroom/nursery reading books, playing restaurant, dress up or anything else she can think of.
I enjoy being able to feel Houston breathe on my chest, watch him suck his little fingers and hear his coos through out the day as I tend to Hayden's needs. I don't feel like I'm missing out on a single moment with him. Of course our favorite part of the day is when daddy comes home. It's a time when all things of the world come to a stop and we have dinner as a family. I truly cherish this time together. It's not always calm and sometimes people don't like whats for dinner, but it's the one thing I look forward to all day long. The moment when I can look all around me and I am completely surrounded by the ones I love."
