Bonjour! Could you kindly introduce yourselves? We are Célia and Aline, 28-year-old childhood friends and now the creative women behind Sacrée Frangine. We respectively Iive between sunny south of France and Paris. What inspires your work as artists? Our inspiration comes from everyday life’s details. We try to celebrate simple daily little things that make us feel good. We are as inspired by a pretty colorful door in a Provencal village as we are by a sweet hug or a warm sunset at the end of a summer day. We also like to focus on relationships and people, especially feminine themes. We use a warm color palette to shape our inspirations around positive values and living together. How do you work in tandem? We’d love to hear more about what role you each play in the process. We both have a creative background but now we each have our areas of expertise, project management for one and creation for the other. Although the art direction is common and we have a creative process where each of us brings their own touch to achieve a common creation. This print beautifully transitions from summer to autumn with elements of both seasons. Was that intentional and, if so, how did you achieve that? Our color palette is directly inspired by nature, we like earthy tones and organic shades. We tried to create a colorful but timeless illustration suitable for all seasons that will bring joy and cheerfulness in winter but also softness and comfort in summer. What do you hope a mama feels when she wraps or dresses her baby in this design? We hope that this design will adorn every moment with sweetness and tenderness. We are not mothers ourselves for the moment but we cannot wait to see our mother friends using these wraps and clothes and see their babies learning what is life all about in there!
