As mamas, we know what a joy it is to wear our babies. But did you know that babywearing is also one of the best ways for dad to bond with babe? This Father’s Day, whether it’s your very first or first with a new baby, share your wrap and share the love! Dads who babywear feel more comfortable and confident as caretakers, and is it just me or do they also look incredibly handsome while doing so?! It’s always made me so happy to see Jared wear our babies, and especially on a day that’s all about celebrating him there is no greater way for us both to feel this love.
Here are a few of my favorite Father’s Day tips for an easy and memory making day that’s all about dad: + Get out of the house. Choose a destination that’s close to home and enjoyable for the whole family, but open ended. A stroll through your favorite blocks in the neighborhood, a trip downtown for coffee or ice cream. Keep it simple. + Have no agenda. Give yourselves the space to enjoy each other and your baby’s company without the pressure of doing too many things. This may feel challenging but just getting out will feel like you’re doing something special, especially with a new babe. + Share your wrap. It’s dad’s turn to give it a try! here so he’ll feel comfortable carrying baby for several hours. If it’s his first time, practice at home before leaving the house. + Help your honey get wrapped (you can re-watch our tutorials together
here before you go) but let him take the lead from there. Nothing will make papa feel better than keeping baby cozy and happy (and receiving lots of praise for it), especially if your little one takes a nap while in the wrap! + Tell him how you feel. Father’s Day is the perfect time to tell dad how much you love and appreciate him.
