Solly Spring Style

March 19, 2018

The thing I love about our wraps (okay, one of the many things I love about them) is that they never feel like a sartorial afterthought. They’re part of the outfit- heck, half the time they make the outfit! To prove it we asked stylist Sydney Liann to put together 16 different looks using 6 wraps from our current collection. As you search below for your own mom style inspiration, I think you’ll agree: babies really are the best accessory. #sollyspringstyle / All photography by: Nicki Sebastian

“The important parenting work is done not only when we have serious, meaningful conversation with our kids, but just as often when we simply play with them, read to them, argue with them, joke with them, or just hang out together.” -The Yes Brain

March’s Book Club book is The Yes Brain. “The Yes Brain: a neurological state that helps children (and adults) approach the world with openness, resilience, empathy, and authenticity.” Yes please! This month’s pick offers just the right amount of research + realistic tools to help nurture your kids into the best version of themselves. The best part: You can apply the strategies to yourself, too! (Bc we could all use a little more “YES.”) Really excited to hear your thoughts on this one, mamas, so pick up a copy of the book or download the audio version, and read along with our downloadable guide below to discuss with your own book club.

What you think really matters, so this mama’s honest opinion on the Solly Wrap (and why she switched from her beloved Moby Wrap) is just the best. Her trusted tips, favorite features, and how to wear it is such a helpful place to start. Our Solly mamas (and dads) really are the best part of this Solly Baby journey. Happy wrapping to each of you!

“If you want happiness for an hour— take a nap. If you want happiness for a day— go fishing. If you want happiness for a year —inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime— help someone else.” -Chinese proverb

February’s Book Club book is The Book of Lykke. The Danes may be the happiest people in the world, but Wiking travels around the globe, finding the best ways to lead a contended, fulfilled life. This is the easiest book to pick up and get inspired by! Originally, I wanted to share Wiking’s other, more well-known book: The Book of Hygge, but after reading (+ loving them) both, this selection was the clear winner for our community. So many quick tips for increased happiness, with interesting stats accompanying every tip, but, beware- by the time it was over I made no less than five new life plans. I recommend buying the hard copy bc it’s darling and makes it an even quicker and more delightful read. Buy the book, bring a friend along, and download our guide below to discuss with your own book club (my favorite kind of me time, mamas)!

“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” – Oprah

This month’s #sollybabybookclub book is “The Wisdom of Sundays.” I am torn as to whether I should recommend the audiobook, the book, or the podcast so I’ll just tell you to pick your favorite platform or, if you’re as big of an Oprah fan as I am, do all three!💥 The audiobook is 5 hours full interviews and the book is gorgeous collection of the best quotes and snippets from all of her interviews on Super Soul Sunday (her podcast). I’m telling you, there’s no better way to start the new year than feeling inspired inside and out. It’s a part of us that’s way too easy to neglect as a mother but, as matriarchs in our homes, it is so important that we lead with inspiration. So, read or listen along, pull in your friends to join you, and download the discussion questions below to help lead your own book club later in the year.
