“I just hit 29 weeks with baby girl #2 and these days I am living in anything flowy & stretchy. Poppy was born in January and I’m loving having a summer due date this time around because I find it so much easier to dress for pregnancy in summer clothing. My go to outfits are casual dresses or elastic waist shorts & swing tops like this look here.” – Bethany

“With this being my fourth pregnancy, I’ve learned a thing or two about dressing the bump. Comfort should always come first, so I tend to gravitate towards jersey knits and fabrics with a lot of “give” – nothing too constricting. Also with three little guys to run after, I opt for flats. A pair of strappy sandals can pull together any outfit, and it gives me good reason to splurge on a luxurious pedicure. I also like to keep a balanced silhouette. I may pair a curve-hugging skirt with a floaty top or a drapey blazer with form fitting jumpsuit.” – Naomi

She’s a designer, maker, wife and mother. She’s a total sweetheart and she’s finding inspiration in the most beautiful place; motherhood. We spent a gorgeous sunny Southern California morning with Sarah and her sweet little baby boy at her picture-perfect home where she shared some of her current favorites with us.

When our friends at Sprout invited us to join them for a wrap tutorial, we jumped at the chance to meet one of our retailers in person and to spend an afternoon with some of our Solly Baby parents in San Francisco. Often times we get lost in the day-to-day and we forget the real reason why we’re here. It really doesn’t get much better than seeing a room full of parents babywearing, asking questions, sharing sleep stories and the smell of fresh brand new babies (it’s a real thing)!

And what’s a trip to San Francisco without a party? After our Sprout event, we hosted a lovely evening at Cheese School and invited a handful of our local friends to join us for some yummy treats and casual conversations in the crisp San Francisco air (this San Diego girl is NOT used to the chilly SF nights so I was firmly planted next to the fireplace all night).

The theme of the night was connection. We overheard many conversations that started with, “It’s so great to finally meet you,” and “we need to find a way to work together on something.” It was exactly what I had hoped it would be and couldn’t be more impressed with this community of women in San Francisco.

Mother’s Day is, undoubtedly, a special time around here. We wanted to give a handful of our moms something to remember these babywearing moments forever so we decided to hold a special Solly Baby photoshoot at our studio just for them. But just blindly choosing a dozen mothers to Solly HQ for this photo session proved to be nearly impossible so, in order to choose, we asked our instagram community to submit a story about what babywearing means to them. The stories that poured in were all so unique and beautiful, we knew we had to share them with you.

After our photoshoot we worked with Artifact Uprising to print some of the pictures from the shoot and then we featured a handful of them the days leading up to Mother’s Day with their stories.

Here is the entire collection of our #SollyStories featured mothers. We had such a wonderful day meeting the moms, holding their babies and hearing their babywearing stories. Every single one of our mothers are so very special and it was an absolute honor to be able to celebrate a few of them in such a fun way. Thank you so much to Artifact Uprising for the prints, to all the mothers that entered the contest and a huge thank you to everyone that traveled to Carlsbad to spend the day with us.
